The Peruvians arrived in Auckland ahead of this Saturday's first leg.

Peru's national football team has touched down in New Zealand this morning to a warm welcome from fans ahead of the first leg of their World Cup qualifier against the All Whites.

La Blanquirroja arrived at Auckland International Airport this morning with dozens of proud fans donning red and white to give them a warm reception.

The team hadn't even touched down yet and the party had already started.

The Peruvians will play the All Whites over two legs on November 11 and 16, with the winner earning a spot in the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia.

The first match will be played at Westpac Stadium in Wellington this Saturday at 4.15pm while the away leg will be played at the Estadio Nacional de Lima in Peru's capital next Thursday at 3.15pm NZT.
