Video: All Whites coach's morning coffee run turns into chaotic impromptu Peru press conference

November 14, 2017

Anthony Hudson had to remind Peruvian reporters to look out for cars as he crossed the road.

All Whites coach Anthony Hudson went out for a morning coffee in his first day in Lima - instead he got a swarm of Peruvian reporters and never-ending questions.

Hudson stayed polite as he walked around a park with the circus around him, telling them repeatedly in English and Spanish that everyone who had travelled for the second leg of the World Cup qualifier was fit - including EPL striker Chris Wood.

"Very good. Very, very, good," he said.

"We're happy to be here, the people have been very welcoming, it's a fantastic place."

With the scores locked at 0-0 after the first leg of the tie, the All Whites can seal a spot at the Russia 2018 World Cup with a draw where goals have been scored due to the added value of an away goal.

The game takes place on Thursday afternoon NZT at 3:15.
