Raheem Sterling sets up goal on England return in thrashing of Kosovo

November 18, 2019

England's Raheem Sterling put a turbulent week behind him, assisting teammate Marcus Rashford on his return to the side in their 4-0 thrashing of Kosovo.

Sterling, 24, was axed by manager Gareth Southgate, following a clash with teammate Joe Gomez  after tensions between Manchester City and Liverpool came to a head in the England camp.

Having sat out of England's 7-0 victory over Montenegro, Sterling was added back into England's ranks for this morning's win in Prishtina.

Goals to Harry Winks and Harry Kane saw England ahead 2-0 in the second half, before a dazzling run from Sterling put Rashford through, slotting coolly past keeper Aro Muric for the third.

Mason Mount added a fourth goal in stoppage time, as England solidified their place atop Group A in the qualifiers for Euro 2020.
