The Wellington Phoenix's 3-2 comeback win over the Central Coast Mariners didn't go unnoticed across the Tasman, with both striker Roy Krishna and defender Liberato Cacace included in the A-League's team of the week.
Down 2-0 at halftime against the Mariners on Saturday night, the Phoenix rallied to pull off a 3-2 turnaround victory, earning Mark Rudan's side an eighth consecutive unbeaten game.
Playing up front, Krishna's two-goal haul was reflected with his selection, not to mention his assist for strike-partner David Williams' winner.
"It was meant to be a day in tribute to Hyundai A-League triple centurion Andrew Durante, but Roy Krishna stole all the headlines," the A-League's official website states.
"Five years to the date of his Hyundai A-League debut, it was a performance that might one day be renowned as Krishna's crowning moment as a Wellington Phoenix legend."
Meanwhile, in defence, 18-year old Cacace's dominant display at left wing-back sees him chosen as one of the best of the week, with his prowess in the attacking third a standout of the youngster's game.
"Cacace amassed an enormous 111 touches of the ball for Wellington and won eight of his 11 duels on the left flank, an area of the field in which he is quickly becoming one of the competition's most lethal."
The Phoenix are next in action against the Melbourne Victory on Sunday.
