Michael McGlinchey added some of his own finesse to last night's comfortable 6-1 first leg win over the Solomon Islands with a classy free kick goal from just outside the penalty box.
Though he wasn't in the spotlight like Premier League teammate and hat-trick hero Chris Wood, The All Whites midfielder still held his own and asked his Burnley-based skipper to let him take the kick from the spot 17m from the goal.
McGlinchey stepped up and lifted the ball over the Solomon Islands' five-man wall and curled it into the top left corner away from keeper Philip Mango to the delight of the North Harbour Stadium crowd.
The second leg of the fixture will play out at Lawson Tama Stadium in the Solomon Islands on Tuesday afternoon NZT.
