The Kiwi striker has joined Burnley for a club-record $26m.

After a scintillating return to the English Premier League, All Whites striker Chris Wood is promising that his goal scoring heroics for Burnley can continue.

After winning last season's English Championship golden boot award, Wood, 25, made a $26.4m move from Leeds United to Burnley, quickly establishing himself as the club's first choice striker, with three goals from six appearances in the Premier League.

However despite his early season form, the All Whites hero isn't getting carried away with his success.

"I think there's a lot more to come in my whole career," Wood told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph .

"I'm definitely not the finished article, I'm looking to improve and bring a lot more to my game."

Wood also said that he didn't doubt himself upon his return to England's top division, after largely unsuccessful stints with both West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City.

"Honestly, I did believe I was suited to this division.

"It's going to take a lot of hard work to stay here but I felt Burnley was the perfect outfit for me to come into and mould into. It's a great club to be at.

"I'm a guy that has a lot of self-belief and I believe I can score goals at this level, it was just about being given the chance."

Wood's Burnley side currently occupy seventh spot on the Premier League ladder, unbeaten in the league since he joined.
