Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey to join Italian giants Juventus, reportedly earning $760,000 per week

Aaron Ramsey will leave Premier League club Arsenal to join Italian champions Juventus for next season, having penned a pre-contract agreement with the Turin club.

Juventus says Ramsey will join in July for free, on a four-year contract and that registering the midfielder will incur costs of 3.7 million euros ($6.2 million).

The Welsh midfielder will reportedly pocket a whopping salary of 400,000 pounds per week (NZ $764,000), according to the BBC.

Taking to Instagram, Ramsey thanked Arsenal fans for their support during his 11 years with the club.

"You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there through all the highs and lows I've encountered during my time at the club," he wrote.

"It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years. Thank you."

Despite his hefty wages, Ramsey won't be Juventus' top earner, with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, reportedly pocketing £538,000 ($NZ 1.02m) per week, according to the Daily Star.

Ramsey has been at Arsenal since 2008 and his contract expires at the end of the season, allowing him to secure his move in advance to Italy.
