Watch: Sportsmanship! Neil Wagner withdraws run-out appeal after tackling English county batsman

Black Caps bowler Neil Wagner is being praised for showing the spirit of cricket, withdrawing an appeal for a run-out in an English county game between Essex and Middlesex.

As he bowled to Middlesex's Stevie Eskinazi, Wagner's fielding off his own bowling saw him collide with the non-striker, John Simpson.

With Simpson floored, Wagner's Essex teammates attempted to run the batsman out, before the appeal was withdrawn at the bowler's insistence.

Wagner is currently playing the New Zealand off-season with Essex as an overseas player.
