Watch: Luke Ronchi blasts pair of sixes in quickfire CPL innings for victorious Amazon Warriors

August 29, 2018

Black Caps wicket keeper Luke Ronchi has shown some flare with the bat in this afternoon's Carribean Premier League match, helping his team claim a four wicket win in a close affair.

Ronchi claimed 28 runs of 16 balls in his time at the crease, blasting a pair of fours and sixes as the Guyana Amazon Warriors went about chasing down the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots' total of 168.

One of Ronchi's maximums came off fellow Kiwi Anton Devcich, who despite a rough afternoon with the ball performed well with the bat as well.

Devcich knocked 35 runs off 24 deliveries to add to the Patriots' total, but it wasn't enough as Ronchi and the Amazon Warriors chased down the target with four wickets and two balls to spare at Warner Park in Basseterre.

With the win, Guyana move to second on the table behind the Trinbago Knight Riders with four wins and two losses so far this season.

The Patriots meanwhile sit in fourth on three wins and three loses.
