Watch: Kane Williamson's innings cut short after deflected drive hits stumps for run out in Black Caps' big ODI loss

Pakistan have levelled their ODI series against the Black Caps in Abu Dhabi this morning after some strong bowling was backed up by a stellar opening innings for a six wicket win.

The Black Caps won the toss and elected to bat but it went downhill from their as they could only muster 209 runs in their innings.

Ross Taylor again came to rescue, top scoring with 86 to give the Kiwis a chance.

That came after captain Kane Williamson's luck ran out early in his innings when he was dismissed for just one run due to a deflected drive into his stumps for a rare run out.

But Pakistan's reply was in cruise control with opener Fakhar Zaman posting 88 runs to keep the host's score ticking over until they won with nine overs spare.

Lockie Ferguson was the best of the Kiwi bowling efforts, taking three wickets for 60 runs in 10 overs.

The result ends a 12-match winning streak the Black Caps had over Pakistan in the format.

The third and deciding game is in Dubai on Monday morning.
