Watch: Kane Williamson, David Warner on their epic darts bromance

February 20, 2018

The two captains spend plenty of quality time together playing in the IPL.

Black Caps and Australian captains Kane Williamson and David Warner's rivalry isn't just concentrated on the cricket field, with the pair revealing that they also take one another on in the sport of darts.

With both Williamson and Warner playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, the two captains share a lot of time together off the field in the annual tournament - often playing darts to pass the time.

Speaking to media ahead of tomorrow night's T20 tri-series finale at Eden Park, the two captains broke down their rivalry with one another.

"He always sends me these photos," Warner began.

"He places his darts in the 180-triple 20 zone, he sends me a photo saying 'look bro I got 180'."

"In the IPL over the last two or three years, we would've thrown at least 5000 darts and we couldn't get one - first one when he gets home he throws one? I said it doesn't count because I didn't see it."

Williamson though, didn't have to wait long to get his reply in.

"The first one (180) was actually on camera, which I suppose kept him quiet."

"We have some good battles with the darts."

"It's good fun."
