McCaw, Barretts, Dagg: What to expect from Team Rugby in T20 Black Clash

January 16, 2020

Coach Sir Graham Henry broke down his star names ahead of tomorrow's match in Napier.

Sir Graham Henry is warning to expect huge things on the cricket pitch from his Team Rugby, facing off against Team Cricket in the second edition of the T20 Black Clash in Napier tomorrow.

Once again, the likes of the Barrett brothers, Richie McCaw and Israel Dagg will turn out for Sir Graham's side, having last year claimed a thrilling victory in Christchurch.

Speaking to 1 NEWS this afternoon, Sir Graham made it clear which Team Rugby stars are worth keeping an eye on at McLean Park.

"Jordie [Barrett] was in the CD squad, apparently, as an 18-year-old. He had to choose whether he was going to be a cricketer or a rugby player," he says.

"Beaudy [Beauden Barrett] can play - they're both very good cricketers, and they both performed very well last year.

"Richie McCaw's playing. Richie bowls a very intelligent ball, and is a very good fielder.

"Izzy Dagg used to bowl at 140 plus clicks, and he rates himself as a batsman. No confidence problems there."
