NZ team as expected: Raval, Latham, Williamson, Taylor, Nicholls, Watling, de Grandhomme, Astle, Southee, Wagner, Boult.

England: Cook, Stoneman, Root, Malan, Stokes, Bairstow, Ali, Woakes, Overton, Broad, Anderson.

Pre Match:  It's been a mixed summer for for the Black Caps, with early season winning form replaced for series losses in the Tri-Series T20 and the one-day series to England.

The Black Caps wicketkeeper missed the innings and 67 run win with a hip injury.

But now for the big one, the two test series against England.

Eden Park is the same venue where the two sides played out a thrilling drawn third Test in 2013, with New Zealand one wicket shy of a Test and series victory.

This is just the second Test at Eden Park in the past five years, with New Zealand taking out India in 2014.

Of course, all eyes will be on the pink ball and whether or not it will zip around under lights in the final session, as it has historically in other grounds around the world.

A little bit of grass has also historically been left on recent Eden Park Test pitches to start day one.

If it's the same here, expect the captain who wins the toss to bowl first hoping for two bites of the cherry - one early with the new ball, and again under lights.

Black Caps likely : Jeet Raval, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, B.J Watling, Colin De Grandhomme, Todd Astle, Neil Wagner, Tim Southee, Trent Boult
