India's media analyse the swagger radiating from Virat Kohli - 'Two more games and he's got immortality'

1 NEWS Sport reporter Guy Heveldt goes behind the scenes at the Cricket World Cup to get a better understanding of the Indian superstar.

They call him King but two more wins at this year's World Cup and Indian captain Virat Kohli will become a cricketing god.

That's the belief of Indian media who spoke to 1 NEWS Sport reporter Guy Heveldt behind the scenes at the Cricket World Cup in Manchester ahead of the semi-final clash between India and the Black Caps.

"He, himself, is the best batsman in the world and he knows that," one reporter said.

"He's got no insecurities... He knows two more games and he's got immortality in the echelons of the Indian game."

Kohli's confidence with the bat is matched by his presence at press conferences, although reporters who have followed the batsman for a long time say that wasn't always the case.

"Having seen Virat over the last 10 years, he has evolved.

"He has evolved as a player and as a captain, and the more he soaks in pressure and enjoys the occasion... but a couple of years back, this wasn't the norm."
