'I'm really committed to this team' – White Ferns coach unfazed over speculation about her future

February 5, 2019

Haidee Tiffen is under pressure after poor recent results.

White Ferns coach Haidee Tiffen says she isn't worrying about speculation over her future, ahead of New Zealand's three match T20 series with India.

Following a poor T20 World Cup in the West Indies, and a recent 2-1 ODI series loss to India this month, Tiffen has come under pressure to keep her role, with her current contract up midway through this year, her role under review by New Zealand Cricket.

Speaking to 1 NEWS today though, the White Ferns coach says she'll only concentrate on the job at hand, starting with India.

"I'm not looking too far ahead," says Tiffen.

"I've got a job to do here, and whatever comes out of that will come out of it, we'll deal with it then.

Tiffen also says that she's not having trouble concentrating on the job, putting aside any personal concerns.

"I've got to not be self-centred, it's about preparing this team and I'm certainly committed to making sure this team's well prepared for this series.

"I'm enjoying this team and coaching this team."

The White Ferns begin their T20 series against India in Wellington tomorrow.
