WICKET! Maqsood has a debut wicket. Ferguson backs away, trying to run the ball down to third man. He's beaten by the angle though, edging behind to the keeper.

Seth Rance the last man in for New Zealand.

7:54am: 15 overs - NZ 107/8 - Sodhi 2*, Ferguson 0*

WICKET! Taylor goes. Quicker ball from Shadab is too close for Taylor to cut, he gets a thin edge behind and Safraz takes a brilliant catch standing up to the stumps.

Taylor goes for seven. Lockie Ferguson in next.

7:49am: 14.1 overs: NZ 104/7 - Taylor 6*, Sodhi 0*

WICKET! Chaos. Taylor hits down the ground and takes the single, Southee wants two and is sent back. The ball is thrown to the striker's end by Faheem, Southee out for a diamond duck.

Ish Sodhi the new batsman.

7:47am: 13.6 overs - NZ 103/6 - Taylor 5*, Southee 0*

7:46am: 13.5 overs - NZ 103/5 - Taylor 5*, Seifert 0*

WICKET! NZ falling apart like a house of cards! A quciker ball down leg from Imad has Chapman looking for the big shot. He dances down the wicket, misses it, and Safraz takes the bails off. Chapman gone for two.

Tim Seifert the new man.

7:39am: 12.4 overs - NZ 97/4 - Chapman 1*, Taylor 0*

WICKET! Phillips is gone too! He looks to take up the initiative, but swings and misses, with the ball crashing into the stumps.

Phillips now gone for 26, Ross Taylor the new man.

7:38am: 12.2 overs - NZ 96/3 - Phillips 26*,  Chapman 0*

WICKET! Williamson goes! The skipper tries to hit Shadab over long on for six more, but doesn't get enough, Babar takes a simple catch on the boundary.

Willimason goes for 60, Mark Chapman the new man.

7:35am: 12 overs, NZ 96/2 - Phillips 26*, Williamson 60*

Shinwari back into the attack, and Williamson slices the ball behind point for another boundary! Single next ball to get Phillips back on strike.

Around the wicket for Shinwari, and he hits Phillips high on the back pad, big shout for LBW but the umpire says no, possibly hitting him outside the off stump.

Final ball of the over is full from Shinwari, but Phillips sends him over long on for six! This partnership is changing the match! NZ need 71 from 48.

7:29am: 11 overs, NZ 83/2 - Phillips 20*, Williamson 54*

Fifty for Williamson! A huge hit down the ground off Shadab sees Kane raise the bat, his 50 comes off just 30 balls. Phillips looks to join the party now, clearing the front leg and hitting a boundary straight back over the bowler's head! Phillips cuts square next ball and the batsmen get back for two,

Quicker ball from Shadab, but Phillips gets a single. Williamson back on strike, he gets a single into leg to bring a good over for NZ to a close.

7:26am: 10 overs, NZ 68/2 - Phillips 13*, Williamson 46*

Phillips is really struggling here, toe ending a slog sweep to get Williamson back on strike to Wasim. Williamson backs away next ball and hammers one over cover for four. The partnership between these two is 48, Williamson has 39 of them.

Williamson runs down the track and smokes Wasim into the stand! Brings up the 50 partnership. Williamson finishes the over with a single. Halfway through the NZ innings.

7:22am: 9 overs, NZ 56/2 - Phillips 12*, Williamson 35*

Williamson plays a gorgeous late cut off Shadab down to the fine third man boundary. The skipper is going to be key if NZ are to have a chance here.

7:19am: 8 overs, NZ 47/2 - Phillips 10*, Williamson 28*

Waqas Maqsood comes into the attack on his debut - which is also his birthday. He pitches a short ball on leg stump, and Williamson pulls him round the corner down to fine leg for a boundary.

Williamson goes inside out over cover next ball - but doesn't get enough of it, the batsmen scramble for two. The next ball is full on leg stump, and Williamson flicks it for another boundary! Great shot from the skipper. Final ball of the over, and it's wide outside off stump.

Williamson obliges, cutting behind point for the third boundary of the over, 15 runs from it.

7:11am: 6 overs, NZ 28/2 - Phillips 7*, Williamson 12*

Shinwari comes into the attack, and keeps it tight, until Williamson scoops him over short fine leg! Much needed boundary for NZ, still a long way to go though.

Williamson gets a single from the last ball, bringing the powerplay to an end. Just three boundaries, and two wickets, for New Zealand. Advantage Pakistan.

7:07am: 5 overs, NZ 21/2 - Phillips 6*, Williamson 6*

Pakistan keeping it tight, the Black Caps managing to work the singles, but the required run rate is starting to increase.

Imad Wasim operating to the right handers now, one over left in the first powerplay.

7:00am: 3.2 overs - NZ 13/2 - Phillips 4*, Williamson 0*

WICKET!  Oh no - de Grandhomme could be gone here. A straight drive from Phillips to Shinwari has de Grandhomme scrambling back at the non-striker's end, but has he got back in time? He hasn't, de Grandhomme run out by Shinwari.

Kane Williamson comes out at number four.

6:53am: 2 overs, NZ 6/1 - Phillips 3*, de Grandhomme 1*

Is de Grandhomme gone now? A leading edge sees the ball drop short of Imad Wasim, who makes an effort to take the catch, but isn't sure.

De Grandhomme gets off the mark next ball, sneaking in a single. Phillips goes over the leg side next ball, only one though. Tight start from Pakistan.

6:49am: 1.2 overs, NZ 4/1 - Phillips 2*, de Grandhomme 0*

WICKET!  Faheem Ashraf with the new ball from the other end. Munro on strike, glancing the first ball into the leg side, no run.

6:44am

The Black Caps openers are back out on the park. Colin Munro to take strike first up, Mohammad Hafeez will take the new ball, looking to spin it away from the left hander.

6:25am: 20 overs - PAK 166/3 - Hafeez 53*, Ali 3*

Final over of the innings, Southee to bowl it. Pakistan will want at least 170 on this pitch. First ball is a wide yorker, only Hafeez walks across his stumps, and flicks it past short fine leg for a boundary. Hafeez moves to 49.

Second ball is pitched up, Hafeez drives to Taylor at cover for a single, that's his 50  coming from 32 balls. The batsmen sneak a single third ball, bringing Hafeez back on strike.

Hafeez sweeps Southee through square leg, and the batsmen scramble for two. Two balls to go, Hafeez walks across his stumps again and shovels Southee down to long on for one. He should finish not out, Asif Ali to face the final ball.

Perfect wide yorker, 10 from the final over (with a boundary off the first ball). Hafeez finishes unbeaten. New Zealand to chase 167 to avoid a series whitewash.

6:19am: 18.4 overs - PAK 154/3 - Hafeez 44*, Ali 0*

WICKET! Colin de Grandhomme comes back into the attack for one more over, and tries a barrage of slower bouncers. He gets the treatment from Malik, before getting his own back.

6:15am: 18 overs - PAK 145/2 - Hafeez 39*, Malik 15*

Big finish on the cards for Pakistan, Williamson throws the ball to Rance for his final over. Malik dropped on eight by Phillips in the previous over. Rance's second ball is a low full toss, and Hafeez whacks it over cover for six.

Hafeez walks across his stumps next ball, but Rance follows him, just a single into the leg side. Rance finishes his spell with 10 runs from his last over, 0/22 his figures.

6:07am: 16.1 overs - PAK 123/2 - Hafeez 33*, Malik 0*

WICKET! Babar finally goes! A slower ball from de Grandhomme sees Babar try to belt another one into the stands, he doesn't get the power though, and Southee takes the catch.

Babar goes for a brilliant 79. Shoaib Malik the new man.

5:59am: 15 overs - PAK 112/1 - Babar 69*, Hafeez 32*

Munro comes to the bowling crease, and is greeted with a straight six down the ground by Babar. Second ball is pitched up, and again Babar sends him into the stands, this time over long on. Munro fires in a fuller ball and Babar can only get a single.

5:51am: 13 overs - Pak 90/1 - Babar 50*, Hafeez 29*

Fifty to Babar. A single to point sees Babar reach his half century, coming from 43 balls. Five boundaries in his knock.

5:48am: 12 overs - PAK 86/1 - Babar 48*, Hafeez 27*

Babar Azam cuts Ferguson to point for one, and becomes the fastest player to reach 1,000 T20 international runs. Just 26 innings, one faster than Virat Kohli.

5:44am: 11 overs - PAK 82/1 - Babar 46*, Hafeez 25*

Hafeez runs down the track to Sodhi and belts him back over his head for the first six of the night! Massive hit, 90m!

How does Sodhi come back? Not well! Same result from Hazeez, back to back sixes to double his score in two shots! Huge pressure on Sodhi now, slightly flatter, and Hafeez scoops into the legside for one.

5:40am: 10 overs - PAK 67/1 - Babar 44*, Hafeez 12*

Pakistan starting to increase the tempo now, Babar looking in great touch. Ferguson back into the attack and has Hafeez squirming with a vicious short ball. Same treatment to Babar, who dabs to third man for a single.

Half the overs gone for Pakistan.

5:33am: 8 overs - PAK 45/1 - Babar 26*, Hafeez 8*

Sodhi into the attack. First ball is on the pads of Babar, he turns into leg for a single.

Third ball is short, Babar pulls and Chapman does well to save a boundary, the batsmen get back for two though. Fifth ball is square-driven to deep point. Final ball of the over is full, Babar squeezes down the ground for a single.

5:23am: 5.3 overs - PAK 29/1 - Babar 18*, Hafeez 0*

WICKET!  Final over of the powerplay, Ferguson into the attack. Full toss first up, Babar drives to Chapman for a single. Ferguson round the wicket to Fakhar, who backs away, but can't get a clean strike, single to mid on. Bouncer next up and Fakhar's gone!

He tries to pull, but is beaten by the extra pace, Chapman takes a simple catch and NZ have the breakthrough. Mohammad Hafeez the new man.

5:16am: 4 overs, PAK 19/0 - Fakhar 9*, Babar 10*

Rance's second over goes for just three runs, great stuff at the top so far from the Black Caps. First ball of Southee's second over is a full toss on leg stump, Fakhar drives to mid on. Southee offers a bit of width next ball, Fakhar slashes and gets an inside edge down to the fine leg boundary.

Fakhar drives to Williamson for a single at mid off. Babar tries to hoick over the leg side, and narrowly avoids Ferguson, the batsmen get back for two. Southee offers more width, Babar cuts out to de Grandhomme sweeping out at point. Slower ball to finish, Babar tucks into the leg side for one.

5:08am: 2 overs, PAK 6/0 - Fakhar 2*, Babar 4*

Tim Southee with the ball from the other end. First ball is on leg-stump, cramping Fakhar for room - no run. Same up second ball, but this time Fakhar edges onto his pad, the batsmen sneak a single.

Babar on strike to Southee. Southee again holds the leg stump line, Babar tries to flick off his hip, but Seifert takes one handed behind the stumps. Fourth ball is pitched up, Babar drives to cover. Same again next up, only this time Babar belts it through cover for the first boundary of the night.

Babar drives straight back to the bowler to end the over.

5:03am: 1 over, PAK 1/0 - Fakhar 1*, Babar 0*

One slip in place. Rance's first ball moves across Fakhar, who slashes and misses. Bit of excitement from behind the wicket, but Seifert can't hang on. Swinging yorker second up, great start from Rance.

Third ball is straight at Fakhar defends down the pitch. Rance dishes a full toss fourth ball, Fakhar cuts to deep point for one.

Babar to take strike for his first ball. He tries to punch through cover off the back foot, but Phillips dives to his left to save it. Final ball of the opening over is defended to point.
