Black Caps coach says job only part-done after thrilling first Test win over Pakistan

New Black Caps coach Gary Stead says his side earned a good celebration after their record breaking four-run first Test win against Pakistan on Monday night in Abu Dhabi.

But he insists the job is only part done, the second Test gets underway in Dubai on Saturday night where Stead expects Pakistan to bounce back strongly.

"I don't think we will win too many Test matches when you only score 153 in the first innings, but it was always going to be we had to keep fighting and fighting," said Stead.

"Pakistan are a good team, they're hard to beat over here, they'll be better for it.

"And if they've taken us lightly well they certainly won't be now."

Pakistan will be hoping to keep a strong record in Dubai going, having only lost one of their previous six Tests at the venue.
