Bad weather forces Black Caps to train inside as they prepare for Pakistan challenge

June 26, 2019

New Zealand take on Pakistan tonight at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

Poor weather conditions have forced the Black Caps to train indoors as they prepare for their Cricket World Cup match against Pakistan tonight in Birmingham.

Black Caps spin bowler Mitchell Santer says his side are prepared to adapt to any conditions, as they look to keep their unbeaten streak alive at the tournament.

"It's never ideal to  go indoors, but you have got to prepare accordingly," said Santner.

"I think the weather forecast is pretty good for tomorrow [tonight, NZ time].

"So, I think we should obviously prepare like we would any other day and obviously not think about the rain too much and get on with it."

The Black Caps sit in second place in the overall standings, having won all five of their fixtures at this year's World Cup.

India is the only other team in the tournament who are yet to drop a game in the UK.
