Watch: Seven Sharp dishes out its own medals for most memorable moments of Commonwealth Games opening

April 5, 2018

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has taken out Seven Sharp's Gold medal for the most memorable moment of the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.

Her performance was so outstanding during the Gold Coast ceremony she was trending on Twitter.

The duchess appeared somewhat bored and was flicking through what Seven Sharp suggested could have been the programme or maybe a magazine like Horse and Hound or Women's Weekly.

The Silver medal for most notable performance on the night went to the aforementioned Official Commonwealth Games opening night programme because a printing error saw England mixed up with Gambia.

It was a rather embarrassing mistake and the royal couple did not seem amused.

The dancing beach towels certainly captured the flavour of the Gold Coast.

But it was the female performer running under one of the towels who captured the eyes of 1.5 billion people watching worldwide.

Was that really a bare bottom?

Yes it was.  And she's Seven Sharp's bronze medal winner.
