'Maybe KFC!' - Fiji's first Gold Coast medalist looking forward to well earned post-competition feed

After months of training and sticking to a rigorous eating plan, Fiji's Apolonia Vaivai is looking forward to a meal of KFC to celebrate winning her nation's first medal of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Apolonia Vaivai of Fiji wins the bronze medal in the women's 69kg weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games.

Vaivai picked up a bronze in the women's 69kg weightlifting today, pipped to gold by India and England.

She said afterwards she was looking forward to a bit of chill-out time now competition was finished, and cheering on another Fijian medal hopeful, 90kg lifter Eileen Cikamatana, tomorrow.

When asked what she would eat now competition was done, Vaivai said "maybe KFC", with a chuckle.

Today's bronze goes with the one she won at Glasgow four years ago.
