The Aussie women's hockey team beats India 1 - 0 meaning they will face the Black Sticks in the gold medal match on Sunday afternoon.

Kiwi Brad Mathas finishes in fifth place in the men's 800m. Kenya take gold and England silver.

12:15am: Athletics

Drama! England's Zharnel Hughes has been disqualified from the men's 200m final after winning gold for lane encroachment.

The gold now goes to Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago.

12:10am: Hockey women's

Australia lead India 1-0 in the third quarter of their semi-final with an Indian player being sent to the bin for a foul play.

12:02am: Athletics

England's Zharnel Hughes takes out the 200m final in a time of 20.12 seconds with Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago finishing in a close second.

The next Kiwi up is Brad Mathas whos is competing in the men's 800m final at 12.15am.

Heartbreak for NZ in the final round! India's Navjeet Dhillon just edges out Hakeai with her final throw to take the bronze.

Still a great effort from the Kiwi who will finish fourth.

The fifth attempt for Hakeai is another behind her best at only 53.86m. She is still clinging onto bronze though with her earlier throw of 57.16.

What a throw from Australia's Dani Stevens! That's gone 68.26 metres for a new Comm Games record and what looks to be a guaranteed gold.

The Kiwi throws 56.94m on her fourth attempt, not Hakeai's best throw but she stays in third place thanks to an earlier effort.

She has two throws left.

The Kiwi is through to the final round of the discus final! Three more throws now for the top eight women. Hakeai currently in bronze medal position.

Sositina Hakeai is third after her second throw and looking good to qualify for the next round of throws.

Grace O'Hanlon made four saves in the penalty shoot-out with Stacey Michelson scoring the winning goal for NZ as they took it out 2 - 1.

And they've done it! Black Sticks into the gold medal match after beating England in the penalty shooutout!

It's 1-1 still and New Zealand call for a review saying the English keeper had pushed Kiwi player Ella Gunson. New Zealand's review is denied.

England and New Zealand have both missed their two shots at goal in the penalty shoot-out. England go up 1-0 with their third shot in the penalty shoot-out, Samanth Harrison levels the scores at 1-1 with NZ's third shot in the penalty shoot-out.

England miss their first shot at goal, a great job by O'Hanlon - New Zealand's keeper to make the save. New Zealand miss their first shot at goal with time running out.

After the full-time siren sounds the scores are level 0-0 and it will go to a penalty shoot-out. New Zealand were unlucky not to convert just before the full-time buzzer. It's all on!

Looks like it is going to go into penalty shoot outs with just one minute remaining on the clock.

New Zealand's Shiloh Gloyn has been given a green card for her stick tackle on an England player, there is five minutes remaining in the match the scores still 0-0.

PENALTY CORNER! Finally NZ earn themselves a penalty corner - England are resolute and stand strong in defence denying the Black Sticks a chance at goal. Scores are still 0-0 with 13 minutes left in the match.

NO GOAL! The scores remain 0-0 after replays showed the ball struck at goal by a New Zealand player last came off an England player. One more quarter to go.

Kiwi Nicholas Southgate has failed his last attempt at 5.20 metres and doesn't register a height in the final. He gets up, claps his hands and thanks the crowd for their support.

The English and Cyprus athletes both made their attempts at 5.20 metres and share the lead.

NZ mixed doubles Paul Coll and Joelle King take out the second set 11-10 in their quarter-final match against Joshna Chinappa/ Harinder Pal Sandhu of India and are through to the semi-finals.

Kiwi Nicholas Southgate will be chasing a medal in the pole vault, which is just about to get underway at Carrara Stadium.

Nothing can seperate the Black Sticks and England team after the first quarter. It is 0-0 at the moment.

9:19pm: Squash - mixed doubles

NZ mixed doubles Paul Coll and Joelle King take out the first set 11-10 in their quarter-final match against Joshna Chinappa/ Harinder Pal Sandhu of India.

9:10pm: Hockey women's

A heavy fall for New Zealand's Samantha Harrison as she dives and has a strike at goal. Looks like she has injured her left shoulder, she stays down for a while but she is up now and makes her way to the bench.

Curtis Dodge secures bronze for Wales in the men's 74kg division defeating his Nigerian rival with an excellent pin in the final round. It is Wales' first medal  in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games.

Gold for Cyprus, silver for Canada and bronze for Malaysia in the rhythmic gymnastics women's individual all-around final.

8:00pm: Kiwi mountain biker Sam Gaze had some harsh words for his teammate Anton Cooper after winning gold in the men's cross country today.

7:38pm: Beach Volleyball

Australia beat Canada to win gold in the men's beach volleyball. They won 2 sets to 1 in a thrilling match.

7:30pm: Beach Volleyball

All square in the men's final between Aussie and Canada at one set all and 12 - 12 in the deciding set. Great game here!

Currently Canada in first, Australia in second and Wales in third in the women's individual all-around final on rotation four.

An intense match in the men's gold medal game - Australia go up 1-0 after taking out the first set 21-19.

Wales lead Fiji 43-17 at halftime in their 11th/12th place match.

6:34pm: Kiwis in action

Bit of a break for the Kiwi athletes now but plenty of action involving them tonight including:

Squash mixed doubles quarter-final featuring Paul Coll and Joelle King at 8.50pm.

Women's Black Sticks against England in the hockey semi-final at 9.00pm.

Athletics has Kiwis in the men's pole vault final, women's discus final and men's 800m final from 9.25pm.

A dominant performance from the Tauranga brothers Sam and Ben O'Dea in the men's beach volleyball third place match - they defeated England in straight sets, 21-13, 21-15.

6:14pm: Beach Volleyball

Ben and Sam O'Dea have done it they have beaten England 21-15 in the second set. They have won bronze in the men's beach volleyball.

Sam O'Dea comes up with another stunning spike to earn NZ another point and step closer to winning the bronze medal. New Zealand lead 19-13 against England in the second set. They need two more points to take out the match.

New Zealand call for a time-out with England making a minor comeback. NZ are still leading 16-10 in the second set.

Technical time-out! New Zealand lead 15-6 and are in control of this second set. England really need to rally if they want to get back into this bronze medal match.
