Women's Black Sticks against England in the hockey semi-final at 9pm.

Athletics has Kiwis in the men's pole vault final, women's discus final and men's 800m final from 9:25pm.

6:14pm: Beach Volleyball

Ben and Sam O'Dea have done it they have beaten England 21-15 in the second set. They have won bronze in the men's beach volleyball.

6:12pm: Beach Volleyball

Sam O'Dea comes up with another stunning spike to earn NZ another point and step closer to winning the bronze medal. New Zealand lead 19-13 against England in the second set. They need two more points to take out the match.

6:08pm: Beach Volleyball

New Zealand call for a time-out with England making a minor comeback. NZ are still leading 16-10 in the second set.

6:05pm: Beach Volleyball

Technical time-out! New Zealand lead 15-6 and are in control of this second set. England really need to rally if they want to get back into this bronze medal match.

6:03pm: Beach Volleyball

England are playing catch up right now and trail 13-5 against New Zealand in the second set. The England pair are showing some fight.

6:00pm: Beach Volleyball

TIME-OUT! The England pair are really struggling against the O'Dea brothers as they trail 9-2 in the second set.

5:55pm: Beach Volleyball

Ben O'Dea gets in on the action and gets two points for New Zealand with two powerful spikes. New Zealand lead 3-1 against England in their second set.

5:51pm: Beach Volleyball

New Zealand take the opening set 21-13, they need one more set to take out this bronze medal match.

5:50pm: Beach Volleyball

An emphatic block from Sam O'Dea as he denies England a point. England go for a review believing Sam had touched the net. Replays show that it was only the ball touching and New Zealand lead 19-13.

5:46pm: Beach Volleyball

A much needed point for New Zealand as Ben makes an excellent set for his brother Sam O'Dea to deliver a punishing spike. New Zealand lead 15-11.

5:43pm: Beach Volleyball

The fightback is on from England and they trail 13-8 to New Zealand.

5:40pm: Beach Volleyball

New Zealand lead 11-4 and England are yet to score a point with their points all coming off NZ errors.

The game between the Kiwis and England will be a best of three sets, first to 21 points per set.

5:37pm: Beach Volleyball

New Zealand are unlucky not to get that point after the referee ruled Sam O'Dea had touched the net as he attempted a block. New Zealand lead 8-1 in the first set against England.

5:34pm: Beach Volleyball

Sam O'Dea is on fire and has just come up with three sensational blocks and New Zealand are up 4-0 in the first set against England. Scratch that Sam has just come up with a massive spike and New Zealand are up 5-0 and England have called for a time out.

5:33pm: Beach Volleyball

Both the NZ and England national anthems have been played and England are beginning the match with the opening serve. New Zealand get the first point.

5:28pm: Beach Volleyball

Nearly ready to get underway in the men's beach volleyball bronze medal match.

Come on the O'Dea brothers!

5:20pm: Click here to watch the incredible foul-mouthed tirade by a bitter Zambian boxer after losing his match to an Aussie with a Maori background.

5:10pm: Beach volleyball

Next up at 5:30pm the O'Dea brothers will be competing for bronze in the beach volleyball against England.

5:04pm: Lawn bowls

The Kiwi men's fours have lost to England in the quarter-finals by 20 - 2.

4:54pm: Wrestling

Kiwi wrestler Akash Khullar has been defeated in his men’s 74kg quarter-final, losing to Australia’s Connor Evans.

4:51pm: Mountain Biking

So a reversal from Glasgow four years ago where Cooper got the gold and Gaze the silver.

Ben Oliver comes in fourth with Hatherly from South Africa grabbing the bronze.

4:49pm: Mountain Biking

Gaze wins gold! Cooper gets silver! What a race!

4:44pm: Mountain Biking

What a race! Gaze has fixed his bike and is now hot on the heels of fellow Kiwi Cooper.

This is going to be a close finish, a great position for the New Zealanders to be in.

4:42pm: Mountain Biking

Possible bike issue for Gaze sees him drop to third, but Cooper is powering away in first place.

4:38pm: Lawn Bowls

Open B6/B7/B8 Triples Gold Medal Match, a valiant effort from the Kiwis sees them win silver!

They went down 14 - 13 to the Aussies.

4:34pm: Mountain Biking

Only one and a half laps to go and the Kiwis still 1st and 2nd! Looking to repeat their heroics in Glasgow four years ago.

4:28pm: Mountain Biking

The front three are working well together to try and secure the medals.

This has seen Kiwi Ben Oliver fall off the pace slightly, a slip up from South African Hatherly could still see an all NZ podium finish.

4:22pm: Mountain Biking

Cooper and Gaze still leading with Hatherly of South Africa in third at the 20km mark.

4:15pm: Mountain Biking

Sam Gaze has a new water bottle, sigh of relief for Kiwi fans there!

Three laps remaining still NZ in one and two. Ben Oliver drops off a little to 10 seconds off the pace.

4:09pm: Mountain Biking

Onto lap three now and still Kiwis Gaze and Cooper in gold and silver medal position.

Still a possibility of a New Zealand one, two and three finish with Ben Oliver in the chasing pack.

4:03pm: Mountain Biking

Sam Gaze is furious with himself as he drops his water bottle!

The Kiwi will do it tough from here, he is back in first place for now after the South African slowed down to take a drink out of his own bottle.

A bit of gamesmanship from Hatherly there perhaps?

4:00pm: Mountain Biking

A problem for Anton Copper sees him having to push his bike briefly holding up his Kiwi compatriot Ben Oliver.

This means Gaze and Hatherly, the South African, pull away from the field. Still Kiwi riders in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

3:56pm: Mountain Biking

It's the Kiwi armada according to the Aussie commentators!

Gaze, Oliver and Cooper all in the hunt for the gold, all three happy to sit just behind the South African in first place.

3:43pm: Mountain Biking

Great start for NZ! Gaze and Cooper in first and second respectively after the first lap.

3:28pm: Mountain Biking

Not far from the start of the men's cross country. Sam Gaze, Anton Cooper and Ben Oliver are all up this afternoon for NZ.

3:15pm: Squash

Mixed doubles pair Amanda Landers-Murphy and Zac Millar have lost their round of 16 clash with India.

3:07pm: Lawn Bowls

2:17pm: Athletics

Here's Dame Valerie Adams up for her first throw, and it's good! Her season best in 2018 is 18.48, and she's thrown 18.52 to qualify here! Great start for our champion!

2:13pm: Squash

The men's doubles pair of Lance Beddoes and Evan Williams have also sealed a quick win, needing only 10 minutes to beat St Vincent and the Grenadines in pool play.

2:07pm: Squash

Joelle King and Paul Coll have trounced Barbados to book a spot in the quarter-finals, needing just 12 minutes to get the result. Outstanding effort!

2:00pm: Mountain Biking

Samara Sheppard has finished ninth in the women's cross country.

1:45pm: Diving

Kiwi duo Anton Down-Jenkins and Liam Stone have finished 14th and 15th respectively in the men's 3m diving preliminary.

1:32pm: Lawn Bowls

Better news from the bowls now, with the NZ men's fours team defeating Wales 11-10 in the fifth round.

1:13pm: Lawn Bowls

And just like that, McIlroy's quarter-final comes to an end. England's Robert Paxton takes the win 21-16, in spite of a near heroic comeback from the Kiwi.

1:07pm: Lawn Bowls

Paxton takes out the 24th end, leading 19-16 over NZ's Shannon McIlroy.

12:59pm: Wrestling

Akash Khullar advances to the quarter-final of the men's 74kg category after victory over Mauritius' Frederic Marianne.

12:54pm: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy takes another! He's really finding his range now and putting the pressure on but is it too little too late? We hope not! ENG leads 17-15 after End 21.

12:53pm: Diving

Stone is 16th and Sown-Jenkins 17th after round 3.

12:51pm: Mountain Biking

The English duo of Richards and Last are miles ahead of the competition and battling each other for second. South Africa has had to stop on the side of the course to fix a sprig in one of her wheels! This course is brutal!

12:45pm: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy refusing to go down quietly. He's clawing it back and is currently behind 17-13 after End 19.

12:41pm Mountain Biking

Sheppard is well behind the pace - it looks like something is wrong with her bike as she passes through the first checkpoint. There's already been two cyclists fall off their bikes in the challenging course.

12:39pm: Diving

Stone has fallen back to 15th and Down-Jenkins behind him in 16th after two rounds.

12:36pm: Mountain Biking

England are currently holding a first and second. Sheppard is further back in the pack.

12:30pm: Lawn Bowls

England holding a seven point lead. McIlroy got one back in End 15 but gave it away again. ENG lead 17-10 after End 17.

12:29pm: Mountain Biking

The women's cross country is coming up! We have Samara Sheppard representing us!

12:24pm: Netball

South Africa have comfortably beaten Uganda 53-42 in the 5th and 6th playoff.

12:23pm: Diving

After the first round of six, Liam Stone sits in 10th and Anton Down-Jenkins is 15th.

12:17pm: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy is going to need something special now. He's fallen further behind with his radar still out of sync. His English opponent isn't having the same issues though, having kissed the jack twice in the last couple of Ends. ENG lead 16-9 after End 15.

12:07pm: Diving

Anton Down-Jenkins and Liam Stone are about to get underway in the men's 3m springboard!

12:06pm: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy in trouble here. He's struggling to find any range and his opponent is jumping on his chance. England now lead 13-9 after End 13.

11:55am: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy is still locked in a duel! He's doing well at length but continues to struggle on the shorter deliveries. After End 11, he's leading 9-8.

11:40am: Lawn Bowls

What a rocket! McIlroy looks set to lose three points with England surrounding the jack but McIlroy comes flying in with the last ball and sends the jack flying and he has a ball at the back to claim the point! What a play! NZ lead 8-6 after End Eight.

11:25am: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy pushes his lead to two. A great job nullifying England's bunch near the jack with his last ball limits the damage to one point and helps him keep the lead he's building. NZ lead 6-4 after End Five.

11:15am: Lawn Bowls

McIlroy takes two more points before a very loose third end allows England to strike back for three. Not typical of McIlroy. Just really struggled to find his range on a deep jack there. NZ lead 4-3 after End Three.

11:05am: Lawn Bowls

Our first Kiwi in action today is none other than Shannon McIlroy in his single's quarter final against England! And he's off to a flying start too, taking two points to lead 2-0 after End 1!

10:45: PREVIEW

Shot putter extraordinaire Dame Valerie Adams will tackle her fifth Commonwealth Games in the unfamiliar position of an outsider when she lines up in qualifying at Carrara Stadium today.

A double Olympic champion, Adams is taking something of leap into the unknown as she hunts her fourth Commonwealth Games gold just six months after the birth of daughter Kimoana.

She has a season best of 18.48m, and just two competitions under her belt this year, and will need to go well over that to challenge Trinidad and Tobago's Cleopatra Borrel or Canadian Brittany Crew.

Among those also in action at Carrara Stadium are middle distance runners Angie Petty in the women's 800m heats, and Brad Mathas in the men's 800m final.

Elsewhere, Anton Cooper and Sam Gaze will look to reprise their dramatic Glasgow 2014 gold-silver mountain biking cross-country finish, this time over a 4.5km course in the Nerang State Forest.

New Zealand has a shot at bronze in the men's beach volleyball , where brothers Sam and Ben O'Dea will do battle with Englishmen Chris Gregory and Jake Sheaf at Coolangatta Beach.

The Black Sticks must beat world No.2 England to earn a spot in the women's hockey gold-medal match, with the memory of a penalty shootout semi-final loss from Glasgow keeping motivation levels high.

Kiwis will also take part in doubles squash , shooting , badminton and diving events, as well as making their wrestling Games bow and continuing their hunt for lawn bowls medals.
