Comm Games recap: Gold, silver, bronze - Kiwis bring home full house of medals on day six

Relive all of the action from another outstanding day for Kiwi athletes competing at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

That wraps up our coverage of another thrilling day on the Gold Coast. New Zealand bought home another three medals, with a bronze for Hamish Bond, a silver for Linda Villumsen not to mention a stunning gold from Julia Ratcliffe.

To make things even better, boxers David Nyika, Alexis Pritchard, Patrick Mailata and Tasmyn Benny are all guaranteed at least a bronze medal.

The NZ women's team finish sixth at the 4x100m medley relay so no medal there but still a great effort.

11:55pm: Boxing

Kiwi boxer Patrick Mailata has defeated Stephen McMonagle of Northern Ireland in the men's over 91kg quarterfinal.

11:37pm: Athletics

Hulley up now on her final attempt, the only one close to challenging Ratcliffe - but she can't haul in the Kiwi with her last attempt! Gold for New Zealand!!!

Ratcliffe goes even bigger! She throws 69.94m to push her lead out even further on her fifth throw!

So, it's now raining at the athletics, meaning that Ratcliffe's lead could hold - with conditions now unfavourable for the hammer throw. Fingers crossed for a gold here.

Cyprus have stunned New Zealand in the women's quarter-final, taking the second set 21-17 for victory.

Ratcliffe throws 68.14m with her third attempt, but still leads with her 68.60 from earlier. Her closest competition is Australia's Alexandra Hulley at 68.20.

The NZ women's triple have flattened Jersey 23-8.

Another huge throw from Ratcliffe! She's managed a second attempt of 68.60 to push her lead out even further.

Kiwi hammer thrower Julia Ratcliffe storms into the early lead with a throw of 66.19m! Great signs early on!

So close for Jesse Reynolds! The Kiwi finished fourth by a whisker, with three Australians taking the medals.

Cyprus take the first set against New Zealand, winning 21-10.

Kiwi duo Chris Arbuthnott and Jesse Reynolds are both up in action now, taking part in the men's S9 backstroke final.

Kiwi duo Shaunna Polley and Kelsie Wills are up against Cyprus in their quarter-final.

Ashby was right in contention, but fell away towards the final length of the medley, finishing fifth while Clareburt came in seventh.

Lewis Clareburt and Bradlee Ashby are both up now, competing in the men's 200m individual medley final.

The Tall Ferns have resisted a late fight back from Mozambique, taking the match 79-63 to set up a semi-final clash with Australia on Friday night.

Walsh takes the bout by a unanimous decision, a brave effort from Leroy Hindley.

NZ's Leroy Hindley has begin his 69kg quarter-final clash with Northern Ireland's Aidan Walsh.

The men's doubles team of Coll and Grayson have come away with a 2-0 win over St Vincent and the Grenadines.

We're into the fourth quarter and the Tall Ferns are up 60-41.

NZ men's pair are currently a game and 10-2 up over St Vincent and Grenadines.

The Tall Ferns (who are on the online channel, link above) are currently leading 57-41.

We're just about to get underway in the women's 400m free finak. Doyle is in lane one...

We're not far from things getting underway at the pool on the last night of the swimming competition. Carina Doyle is in the women's 400m free final, Daniel Hunter is in the 50m free final while Lewis Clareburt and Brad Ashby are in the 200m IM final. Jesse Reynolds is also one of the favourites for the men's 100m brackstroke S9 final. We've also got the women in the relay medley final.

That's halftime and NZ are up 41-26. While the women enjoy a rest, take a look at some of these medal highlights from the NZ team.

NZ have won 21-14! The end came quickly as the O'Dea brothers outclassed the T&T pair. The brothers will play for a medal. Congratulations!

6:20pm: Kiwis in action update

The Tall Ferns basketball team take on Mozambique at 8:30pm in the women's qualifying final.

Daniel Hunter will be going for gold in the pool at the 50m freestyle final at 9:45pm.

Julia Ratcliffe will also be looking to medal in the women's hammer throw final at 10:40pm.

Plenty of other Kiwis in action in beach volleyball, boxing, squash and more, so settle in!
