'We've done all the hard yards' – Breakers ready for NBL opener after gruelling pre season

Mika Vukona says the team are itching to kick things off against Cairns in Auckland tomorrow.

Breakers captain Mika Vukona says that his side are ready to go in their NBL season opener against the Cairns Taipans in Auckland tomorrow.

Speaking to 1 NEWS today, Vukona said that his side are well prepared for the first match of their season.

"We've done all the hard yards during pre-season," he said.

"We really want that to come to fruition."

Vukona also spoke about the perceived notion of the Taipans being their "bogey team", having struggled home and away against Cairns last season.

"There's no bogey team in a new season."

The skipper finished by taking time to thank the clubs fans, urging them to turn out in support of the side ahead of the new season.

"They are another team member out there, we really do need them."

"Hoepfully we can get a lot of people there tomorrow.

The Breakers face Cairns at Spark Arena in Auckland tomorrow evening.
