Watch: 'First try, baby!' Steven Adams nails half-court hoop, celebrates with a shimmy at OKC training

December 11, 2017

Oklahoma City Thunder centre Steven Adams is continuing his fine scoring form of late with an impressive long range shot during a recent training session.

Adams, who has averaged nearly 20 points a game since his career-high 27 points against the Timberwolves in last week's 111-107 win, threw a ball up from half-court during training which he nailed.

The Kiwi then proceeded to make sure everyone knew he scored it in hilarious fashion.

"First try, baby! Wooo!" he said.

He followed up the cheers with a shimmy dance too, keeping his shooting hand raised after it guided the ball in from deep.

Despite the impressive shot, it would be unlikely to see Adams try a three-pointer any time soon - the 24-year-old has only attempted three in an NBA game in his entire five-year career so far.

The Thunder next play the Charlotte Hornets tomorrow afternoon at 2pm NZT.
