Steven Adams has issued some important life lessons to young fans while signing autographs for them after a pre-season game in Oklahoma City.
Adams stayed behind to meet and chat with the in-awe youngsters after his pivotal double-double performance against Melbourne United in yesterday's 86-85 win, dishing out some cheesy one-liners to go along with his signature.
"Good manners boy!" he said after taking one young boy's poster to sign.
"Eat your vegetables mate, clean your room!"
Adams scored 12 points as well as 10 rebounds and two blocks in yesterday's win at Cheasapeake Arena - the penultimate pre-season game for the team heading into this year's much anticipated NBA season.
The Thunder play one more pre-season game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday at 2pm NZT before opening their season against the New York Knicks next Friday.
"Maybe this has galvanised them, hearing each other's stories and knowing they are not alone," say the nurses behind the Facebook group, New Zealand, please hear our voice.
