The Tall Blacks have jumped seven spots in the FIBA world rankings released last night, now sitting as the 27th best side in the world.

Having finished fourth at their first FIBA Asia Cup back in August, New Zealand moved up 208.8 points, now sitting between Nigeria and Georgia on the overall world standings.

Due to their success at the tournament held in Lebanon, the Tall Blacks are now ranked fourth in the Asia region, with only Australia, Iran and China ahead of them.

The world's top four sides - USA, Spain, Serbia and France - remain unchanged.

The Tall Blacks are next in action on November 23, when they face South Korea in World Cup qualification in Wellington.
