Hornets' horrible basketball 'own goal' gifts Steven Adams opening bucket in OKC win

November 24, 2018

A shocking miscommunication between Hornets’ players gifted Steven Adams the opening bucket in Oklahoma City’s 109-104 win over Charlotte today.

Video shows Adams hit the rim with a short hook shot with the ball bouncing up and a group of Hornets rushing in for the rebound, but instead of claiming possession they only tip the ball into the hoop.

Adams, who finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, was credited with the bucket.

The big Kiwi also showed off his skill as a passer on his way to four assists, with one brilliant bounce pass to a cutting Russell Westbrook a highlight.
