Social media has been flooded with shock and horror over the shaving of star Kiwi basketballer Steven Adams' moustache.

Adams' team-mate at the Oklahoma City Thunder, Turkish centre Enes Kanter took to Twitter to break it to fans that the Kiwi had "got in an accident".
The Rotorua native coming out to apologise to fans citing he had "high fived my face with a chair".
The bit of man-scaping, not going down too well with fans of the New Zealander with some even questioning if he had broken his contract by shaving.
"Isn't the mustache part of your contract?? If not #samprestifail" tweeted one user.
The promotional twitter account for Oklahoma City letting their feelings known too on behalf of the team's city.
"Show of hands: anyone else feeling personally affected by the lack of stache?"
Adams and Kanter have always maintained a thing for their facial hair throughout their Thunder career and even proudly have a Twitter handle dedicated to their moustaches called the "Stache Bros".
