'I have no chance!' - rusty Steven Adams terrified at the prospect of facing the big names at his charity golf open




Kiwi OKC star Steven Adams hasn't got his hopes up by the sound of things when asked about his upcoming golf fundraising tournament.

The Kiwi admitted to 1 News' Guy Heveldt he hadn't practised since they last saw eachother.

The tournament set to help Kiwi kids follow in his footsteps is set to host a range of Kiwi stars and professional golfers at Auckland's Windross Farm Golf Club.

So naturally, the Kiwi basketballer was asked how his swing was going.

"Nah, I haven't been practicing I've been too busy!"

He did say, however, he would "try get a few rounds in before the tournament starts."

The American saying Adams had been his "boy" since day one.

It seems Adams isn't backing himself though, taken aback by some of those who will participate.

"Judged by who's coming they're really good! Have you seen the people who are coming? I've got no chance!"

It's expected that well known Kiwis such as Beauden Barrett, Israel Dagg, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Eric Murray, Mahe Drysdale, Awen Guttenbeil and Christian Cullen are among those who have accepted Adams' invitation to play when the tournament starts on September 1.
