Depleted Tall Blacks expecting tough World Cup qualifier against Jordan

Without Corey Webster and Finn Delaney, NZ face Jordan in Christchurch on Thursday.

Having assembled in Christchurch, the Tall Blacks have just two days to prepare for their World Cup qualifier with Jordan, hitting the court at Horncastle Arena on Thursday night.

With star players Corey Webster and Finn Delaney both missing with injury, coach Paul Henare will have to field a weaker side than he'd have liked, although Henare says his side are just going to get on with it.

"We've just got to make the most of our time, and utilise it as best we can - which is what we've gotten used to in this window format," Henare said.

"The good thing is that systematically we try to keep things pretty consistent in terms of what we've been doing in the past.

"For those guys that've involved it's just a refresh, for the new ones that are here, it's how quickly they can get up to speed."

Henare is also expecting a tough, physical contest with Jordan.

"They've got some height, they've got some physicality, they've got some talent.

"They're a group that's been together for a long time as well.

"They're very familiar with each other and how they play."
