The Breakers have suffered yet another loss in their turbulent pre-season, going down 79-68 against the Cairns Taipans in Brisbane.
Breakers' Mika Vukona on the bench
Tom Abercrombie looked to have overcome his injury troubles of the past few weeks, scoring a game-high 24 points, while new man Akil Mitchell added 11 points coming off the bench.
The rest of the squad underwhelmed, with an inexperienced Breakers side struggling to gel as the new season quickly approaches.
Key players Kirk Penney and Corey Webster were missing having failed to overcome their injury concerns, while the Taipans were missing the likes of Nata Jawai and Mark Worthington.
The result makes for grim reading among Breakers fans, with the club's poor pre-season run stretching to 5 games without a win, following a 3-0 series loss to the Brisbane Bullets, as well as going down to the Sydney Kings earlier in the tournament.
