The NBL have doubled down on their punishment for New Zealand Breakers coach Kevin Braswell's latest outburst against referees.
Braswell has copped a AUS $1000 fine after a tirade against unjust officiating following last Friday's loss to the Perth Wildcats in Auckland.
The sanction comes a week after the rookie coach was pinged $500 for the same offence, albeit on a lesser scale, following the Breakers' loss to Melbourne United in Invercargill.
Braswell was infuriated by the continual lop-sided foul count against his team, hitting its nadir when five Breakers players fouled out against Perth.
The fallout from that game will continue next week when forward Tai Wesley faces the tribunal for comments made to a referee during the closing stages.
Wesley, arguably the best Breakers performer in their modest 4-7 start to the season, had his date the with judiciary put back because of his international duties with Guam.
