Young boy impales himself in groin area while playing on swing with bamboo stick

A young boy impaled himself in the lower groin area while playing on a swing with a bamboo stick yesterday.

Shortly after 12:14pm, the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew flew the child from Whenuakite on the Coromandel Peninsula to Starship Hospital in a serious condition.
