WorkSafe investigating death of child at Ōpōtiki dairy farm

WorkSafe is investigating after a child died at an Ōpōtiki dairy farm.

According to WorkSafe the child died last night.

"We understand the incident occurred on Thursday evening and involved a child being fatally injured," WorkSafe says.

Police told Stuff the person who died was on the farm, rather than working.

This is the third death which has occurred on a farm this week.
