Woman dies following two-car crash south of Christchurch

A woman has died following a crash involving two cars in Doyleston in the Selwyn District south of Christchurch yesterday morning.

Police say the 44-year-old local woman died in Christchurch Hospital late last night.

Emergency services were called to the crash at the intersection of Volckman and Drain Road at 9.44am.

Police say the driver of the other vehicle involved remains in Christchurch Hospital.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
