Winston Peters describes twin terror attacks on Christchurch mosques as 'the very worst event'

Winston Peters has described the twin terror attacks on two mosques in Christchurch today as "the very worst event".

"The worst of the world has visited our shores and we'll never be the same again," Mr Peters, the Deputy Prime Minister told RNZ. 

"We've had other disasters before – earthquakes, mining disasters – but this is the very worst event".

He said we have lost some of our innocence. He sends his sincerest condolences, and his heart is with the victims and their families.
