Wellington train service suspended after reports of people in train tunnel

Police had to suspended a train service in Wellington this afternoon after reports of people in the train tunnel.

The police were alerted of the incident in Johnsonville around 3pm today.

A police spokesperson told 1 NEWS says no one was found inside the tunnel.

However, due to the incident train services were suspended between Khandallah and Johnsonville. 

Those services have since resumed following police clearance.
