Wellington Harbour Ferry trips restricted as weather conditions deteriorate

June 5, 2019
Strong winds have causing swells in the harbour have forced the East By West ferries to stay in dock.

The Wellington Harbour Ferry will be operating on a restricted timetable this afternoon, as wild weather continues to batter the North Island.

Poor conditions have seen the timetable cut back to just three trips this afternoon from Queens Wharf and Days Bay, as opposed to the regular schedule of 20-30 minutes.

All trips to Seatoun have also been cancelled.
