Yes, NZ Masterchef sisters Karena and Kasey Bird have written their way to the top after scoring perfect 10s at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, where they won best TV cookbook.

The Maketu sisters were crowned the winners of MasterChef New Zealand in 2014, becoming the first duo to do so.

Yesterday the pair took to their ever-popular Facebook fan page to announce they were adding a new accolade to their mantlepiece.

In a post, the sisters wrote, "thank you to our family who are our biggest supporters".

"Deborah Aspray our amazing photographer, Kate Barraclough the designer and to Maketu, which is such an important character in our book and everyone else that has made this dream become a reality.

"We are so proud of what we have created and cannot wait to come home and celebrate with our whanau."

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards were founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau.

Every year, they honour the best food and wine books, printed or digital, as well as food television.
