A wet and wild day in the north has downed trees and cut off roads in Northland, Auckland and the Coromandel.
Parts of the Coromandel have been cut off after heavy rain left major roads in and out totally under water.
The storm is part of a nasty weather front that has swept through Northland, Auckland and the north east coast of the North Island, made worse by king tides.
