Watch: Man plunges off Auckland wharf on Lime scooter to win bet - but could be out $2299

Footage has emerged of a man plunging off the wharf at Auckland's Viaduct on a Lime e-scooter after allegedly being dared to pull off the stunt for a $1000 reward.

Video of the moment the topless man rode the scooter off the wharf into the ocean was posted to Instagram yesterday.

It has been viewed over 2000 times since being posted.

According to Stuff, the man said his friend paid him $1000 to complete the stunt.

Lime's terms and conditions state that if a scooter is vandalised, lost or broken, then the user who unlocked it is liable for a fine of up to $2299.
