Watch: Jacinda Ardern reacts to appointment of Kiwi Chris Liddell to senior role in Trump's White House

March 20, 2018

Jacinda Ardern said Liddell’s appointment to White House deputy chief of staff won’t necessarily help NZ.

The Prime Minister is unsure if New Zealand will gain much from Kiwi Chris Liddell appointment to a top White House job.

Mr Liddell has been named as White House deputy chief of staff.

"He's very much a Kiwi," Jacinda Ardern told TVNZ1's Breakfast today.

"I'm sure he will be mindful of the US relationship with NZ but ultimately he's being employed to do a job that is much larger than just that but who knows what it will mean for us".
