Former US President Barack Obama gave an exclusive talk to 1000 invite only guests in Auckland yesterday.

Westpac’s Simon Power and Pacific youth leader Bhavna Lata were there.

Mr Obama was interviewed by Sam Neill before a select crowd at Viaduct Events Centre last night.

The exclusive dinner saw invited guests sitting down to listen to Mr Obama talk.

Recounting the night of TVNZ1's Breakfast Mr Power described Mr Obama as "impressive" and said he "held the audience in the palm of his hand".
