The election campaign trail has well and truly kicked off, with Labour leader Jacinda Ardern working her magic with both young and old today in Auckland. 

The Labour Party leader played with babies and spoke with rest home residents as she hits the campaign trail.

Ms Ardern visited the Selwyn Village retirement community this morning where she spoke to rest home residents about the up-coming election and played with babies.
