Watch: Family of ducks crossing Auckland's Northern Motorway brings peak hour morning traffic to a stand-still

A family of ducks has ruffled the feathers of commuters during peak hour traffic on Auckland's North Shore this morning.

In a video released by NZTA, the mother and her ducklings can be seen crossing the Northern Motorway near the Tristram Ave on-ramp, as vehicles in each lane stop to patiently wait for them to cross.

"NZ Police are now escorting all to safety," NZTA Auckland wrote in a tweet.
