One person has been freed from a partly submerged vehicle in Evans Bay on Wellington Harbour after it crashed through a wooden barrier into the ocean below.
The incident occurred around 2pm this afternoon.
Fire and Emergency NZ were filmed by 1 NEWS cutting away parts of a small white hatchback and freeing a person trapped inside.
The person was hoisted up a seawall on a stretcher and taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
