A British bulldog named Hearty has been reunited with her emotional owner, four months after being stolen.
Carolyne Smith's dog Hearty was taken from a family member's home in May.
Last night, acting on a tip-off, animal control officers from the South Waikato District Council found Hearty at another property.
"Animal Control Officers Jon and Brooke invited Carolyne to Council this morning to surprise her with the good news," the SWDC wrote on Facebook.
"It was a very touching moment seeing Carolyne and Hearty reunited."
Carolyne and her family never stopped searching for Hearty, and her happiness at being reunited with her pal is clear for all to see.
