Watch: Barack Obama’s chopper hovers above Kauri Cliffs in Northland ahead of round of golf

Barack Obama has touched down at Northland's Kauri Cliffs for a round of golf.

Footage shows what's believed to be the former US President's helicopter as it hovers above the exclusive resort this morning.

Earlier today a relaxed looking Mr Obama was filmed getting into the chopper at Auckland's Mechanics Bay.

He's set to play golf with former New Zealand prime minister and John Key and others.

Mr Obama is visiting New Zealand for the first time.
