Video: Jacinda Ardern not ruling out NZ taking diplomatic measures against Russia

March 17, 2018

The PM told TVNZ's Q+A programme the chemical agent used in the UK spy attack could only be from Russia.

New Zealand will not be ruling out diplomatic measures against Russia in the aftermath of the chemical attack on an ex-Russian spy in the UK.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says there is nowhere else the chemical agent used in the Salisbury attack earlier this month could have come from besides Russia.

She has also signaled efforts to re-start a free trade deal with Russia will be put on hold.

Ms Ardern will be speaking with Corrin Dann tomorrow morning on Q+A.
